What's Wrong?

 

What’s wrong with saying I love you
when it’s really how I feel about you?
don’t doubt me when I say these words to you
because I mean it, I really do.

I’m not asking you to say it back
I just want you to accept it as a fact
but don’t ask me to take it back
‘cause that would really suck.

What’s wrong if I say I’ll stay
look at me, hey!
I can see your tears at bay
listen to the words I say.

"People always leave"
those are the words you’ve always believed
I’m not one to deceive
I’ll prove it to you for as long as I live.

What’s wrong if I say I care?
don’t tell me not to, that would be unfair
I can tell your hesitation by the way you stare
you don’t have to say it, I’m very much aware.

I know you’re strong and independent too
and it’s not something that you’re used to
Well let me be the one to tell you
It’s time to let somebody look after you.

What’s wrong with saying how you feel?
does hiding make it unreal?
I understand that this is a big deal
but baby please end this ordeal.

You don’t have to pretend it’s something you hate
we may not be sure about destiny or fate
let’s make it happen, make it worth the wait
hold my hand, let’s take a leap of faith. -C

Cobweb of Confusing Paths

     The world is full of beautiful and unpleasant things. Things you wouldn’t even know exist if you don’t go out there to see. As a wanderer myself, I’ve seen a small part of the world and the more you get exposed to it, the more open-minded you’ll become. You’ll learn about different cultures and listen to people of beautiful and complicated minds. You’ll realize that life is not just a one-track highway but a cobweb of confusing paths but all lead to the ultimate destination which is happiness. The shorter path doesn’t necessarily mean it's the easiest and the longer one doesn’t mean it’s the most challenging. Each path is unique and each one us has the liberty to choose which way to pursue. -C
