Hiding Place

WELCOME TO MY THOUGHT CORNER!

This is my personal "hiding place" where I can talk about my feelings and thoughts freely; the perfect corner where I can give life to my daydreams and complain about my reality; an escape to share my kind of crazy and keep my sanity. I love words that rhyme and that is not a crime. This is a mixture of darkness, butterflies and confetti. If you're still reading this then it's working so go ahead and enjoy the rest of it. - C

A FRIEND IN HEAVEN

This was the last poem I wrote last Sept. 5, 2007. Inspired by a friend and classmate who passed away at the age of 19. A friend who is always ready whatever God may decide. He is the kindest person I have ever known. A friend who is always ready to die for a reason we do not understand. I miss you, friend. This one's for you:

Death ends only a life and not a relationship.
The friendship that we had will always stay.
You will always be the memory that we, your friends, will treasure.
The goodness you've shared will keep you alive.

Now, I realize, truly life is so short.
A good guy like you has inspired so many lives.
That, maybe, is your purpose for you are with Him now.

We, your friends, are hoping...
that you have done what you wanted to do;
that you have reached the place you wanted to be;
that you have lived your life the way you wanted it.

The music you used to play;
the words you used to say;
are now memories if I may say.
May you rest in peace, now I pray.

Goodbye... -C-

MORE THAN JUST A SONG

I was in review school when I first heard this song and I was captivated by Danny's voice (of course I didn't know his name back then). I was so touched by the lyrics and I knew from that moment that this man or this band or whoever is that singing, will definitely be one of my favorites. Plus the fact that they are from Ireland. Irish people will always have that certain part of my heart. -C-

The Man Who Can't Be Moved - The Script

Songwriters: Frampton, Andrew Marcus; Kipner, Stephen Alan; O Donoghue, Daniel John; Sheehan, Mark Anthony

Going back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag, I'm not gonna move
Got some words on cardboard, got your picture in my hand
Saying if you see this girl can you tell her where I am

Some try to hand me money, they don't understand
I'm not broke I'm just a broken hearted man
I know it makes no sense, but what else can I do
How can I move on when I've been in love with you

'Cause if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street

So I'm not moving
I'm not moving

Policeman says son you can't stay here
I said there's someone I'm waiting for if it's a day, a month, a year
Gotta stand my ground even if it rains or snows
If she changes her mind this is the first place she will go

'Cause if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you see me waiting for you on the corner of the street

So I'm not moving
I'm not moving
I'm not moving
I'm not moving

People talk about the guy
Who's waiting on a girl, oh whoa
There are no holes in his shoes
But a big hole in his world

Maybe I'll get famous as the man who can't be moved
And maybe you won't mean to but you'll see me on the news
And you'll come running to the corner
'Cause you'll know it's just for you

I'm the man who can't be moved
I'm the man who can't be moved

'Cause if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we meet
Oh, you see me waiting for you on a corner of the street

So I'm not moving
('Cause if one day you wake up, find that you're missing me)
I'm not moving
(And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be)
I'm not moving
(Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet)
I'm not moving
(Oh, you see me waiting for you on a corner of the street)

Going back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag, I'm not gonna move

OBSESSED

Why is everybody so obsessed with love when all it brings is pain, hurt and heartaches?
Why is everybody so obsessed with love when all you'll be is silly, stupid and insane?
Why is everybody so obsessed with love when all you do is stoop down, lose your pride and give your everything?
Why is everybody so obsessed with love when it expects you to sacrifice, let go and suffer?
Why is everybody so obsessed with love when it is so uncertain that you have to take a risk, try and hope?

The answers is simple. LOVE is the greatest feeling that can stand all kinds of pain, justify even the most stupid act, trade everything that you have, survive the hardest battle and face the highest downfall. LOVE is so great that you'll be willing to do everything to taste the sweetest victory in life. -C-

MY OWN STEP

They say being left without any choice is hard. But I realize having too many options is not a very easy situation either. Nevertheless, I am thankful where I am now because whatever I choose, it's time for me to step it up.

Thank You, Lord! -C-

SHUT UP

I've been thinking of creating my own live journal for days now and finally, I have decided to put my plans into actual work. Hence, this blog. Taisez-vouz is the French translation for shut up. I read it from one of Robert Ludlum's Bourne Series. I have my reasons for naming it that but I'm still thinking if I should share it here. I reckon I won't (*grinning*). -C-
