This was the last poem I wrote last Sept. 5, 2007. Inspired by a friend and classmate who passed away at the age of 19. A friend who is always ready whatever God may decide. He is the kindest person I have ever known. A friend who is always ready to die for a reason we do not understand. I miss you, friend. This one's for you:
Death ends only a life and not a relationship.
The friendship that we had will always stay.
You will always be the memory that we, your friends, will treasure.
The goodness you've shared will keep you alive.
Now, I realize, truly life is so short.
A good guy like you has inspired so many lives.
That, maybe, is your purpose for you are with Him now.
We, your friends, are hoping...
that you have done what you wanted to do;
that you have reached the place you wanted to be;
that you have lived your life the way you wanted it.
The music you used to play;
the words you used to say;
are now memories if I may say.
May you rest in peace, now I pray.
Goodbye... -C-
