This song has been my LSS since I saw Brandon Boyd and the rest of Incubus performed it live at Smart Araneta Coliseum. I am not really an Incubus-super-fan, maybe a fan but not a super fan. I know some of their songs since they do have a lot of great songs and that is the very same reason why I decided to see their concert here in the Philippines. I cannot recall how many times they have held a concert here but I'm sure they've been here before. Buying the ticket and going inside the venue, I was just thinking "I just want to see them perform. I am not after Boyd's look. I just want to be there and breathe the same air".
So breathe the same air, I did. See them perform, I did. But more to my expectations, I didn't think Boyd's voice could be that real. Okay, I think I lost you there. Here's the thing. I've seen a lot of rock bands perform live. Well, not really a lot and not really live. Haha! Alright. I have been watching some rock bands live performances on Youtube. (I think that sounds better). And not all of them sounded good, I reckon. So I was surprised when I heard Boyd's. He sounded great. So great that I feel like I'm listening to the original record minus the screaming and singing-along fans and the guys yelling "I love you Brandon Boyd". Yes, I said guys.
