Trust and Betrayal

     Don’t get too close to someone. Never open up to anyone. Telling them your feelings and not so dark secrets will give them the opportunity to use it and put you in an uncomfortable position. Don’t let them. Don’t give them the power to do so. Do not let them take advantage of your vulnerability. These people get the satisfaction by having a good laugh at someone else’s expense. They do not understand the concept of privacy. They do not understand that it took you a long time to trust them just to be betrayed and embarrassed causing your confidence to be at an all-time low. Then you’ll never get over your cynical self. -C
